My water filter is very loud when running. The vibrations in the cabinet are quite noticeable. Is this normal?

Yes, this can happen. Make sure the system is not placed flush against the cabinet wall — leave some space to prevent resonance. Also, adding a few soft rubber feet under the device will significantly reduce the vibrations and noise.

I just replaced the filter, but the replacement indicator light is still flashing red. Why?

Please check if the filter is tightened properly. An incomplete seal can cause the sensor not to reset.

After replacing the filters, you will need to reset the filter life. Here is how:

  1. Long press the "Reset" button for 3 seconds. The buzzer will beep, and you can start to select the filter you want to change.
  2. Press the "Reset" button to change between the filters, and the selected filter's lifetime indicator will flash.
  3. After selecting the filter, long press the "Reset" button for 3 seconds. You will hear a beep. The selected filter's indicator will return to blue light, which means the filter is successfully reset. If you do not operate within 10 seconds, it will automatically exit this mode and resume the normal display.

My water filter is leaking. What should I do?

Please check the following:

  1. Make sure all tubes are fully pushed into the fittings until they click into place.
  2. Check if the filter housings are tightened properly.
  3. Identify the exact leak location — fitting, filter housing, or tube itself.

If possible, take a short video and contact us. We will help you resolve the issue.

Why are there bubbles in my water?

This is normal and the water is safe to drink.

The pump pressurizes both water and air, shrinking air molecules and increasing their solubility. The air stays dissolved under pressure inside the RO system. When you open the tap, the pressure is released and bubbles appear. The water may look cloudy or white, but those are just air bubbles. Let it sit for a moment — all bubbles will disappear, and the water is perfectly safe to drink.

Why is my TDS reading high?

A slightly higher TDS reading at startup is normal and will return to normal range after about 1 minute.

This is due to permeation — a natural phenomenon in all RO systems (both tanked and tankless). When the system runs, pressure pushes water through the RO membrane, removing impurities. When it stops, pressure drops, and a small amount of ions may enter the pure water due to concentration differences, causing a slight TDS rise.

Even with this initial rise, the water quality is still far better than any other filtration method (carbon, KDF, ceramic, UF, UV, etc.). The water is safe to drink immediately — you don't need to wait. No harmful substances are released.

Why are all the indicator lights flashing red?

This is a reminder for prolonged operation. When the system produces water continuously for 30 minutes, it enters protection mode — all components stop working and the lights flash red.

If this happens, simply unplug the power cord for 10 seconds, then plug it back in.

What should I keep in mind if I don't use the filter for a while?

Please follow these guidelines:

  1. If the system is unused for more than 2 days, run the filtered water for at least 5 minutes before use.
  2. If unused for more than 1 week, seal the filter cartridge and store it in the refrigerator (do not freeze). Before next use, run the filtered water for at least 10 minutes.
  3. For long-term storage, turn off the water supply, unplug the power, and open the faucet handle to release internal pressure — this prevents damage to the system.

Why does my water filter start frequently even when I'm not using it?

Please check if there is any leak in the system. If no leak is found, the high-pressure switch may be faulty and needs to be replaced.

Why does my water filter system start automatically for several seconds even when I'm not using it?

Our tankless RO system also has an automatic flush function, here is when:

  1. Flushing when powered on: When powered on, the system will be automatically flushed for 30 seconds.
  2. Flushing when cumulative water production reaches 10 minutes: If the cumulative water production reaches 10 minutes, after returning to standby status, it will be automatically flushed for 10 seconds.
  3. Flushing when constant water production: If the system constantly keeps producing water for 10 minutes, it will be automatically flushed for 15 seconds.
  4. Flushing when in standby status: When the system is in standby status, it will automatically flush for 18 seconds every 6 hours.

How do I know when it's time to replace the filter cartridge?

The system has a filter life indicator (for the first and second stages only). Different colors suggest different remaining lifespan:

  1. Indicator constant lit in blue: the filter is normally working.
  2. Indicator flashing in red: the filter lifetime is about to expire (remaining lifespan < 5%).
  3. Indicator constant lit in red: the filter is expired.

The recommended replacement period for ASR211 is one year or cumulative water production for 60 hours (around 900-1000 gallons). ASR212-600G is two years or cumulative water production for 120 hours (around 1800-2000 gallons). TAM3 is around 900-1000 gallons.

Please note that all the service life of the filter cartridge listed are based on actual laboratory tests and the provided water. The actual service life of filter cartridges depends on source water quality and daily water usage.

Why TDS pen shows higher result than the TDS number displayed on the machine?

It is because the TAM filter, the post filter, adds the minerals to the water. Normally the TAM will increase the TDS by 10-70 ppm. If the system hasn’t been used for a while, the TAM will restore more minerals to the water, and at that time the water is very good, the PH level will be more than 9.

Why my machine not showing numbers, only "--"

For first-time usage, the TDS result will not show up until the system has been producing water for 1 minute. When the system is running, the TDS sensor in the PD will test the water quality every minute. Therefore, if you just restart the system, you will need to wait for 1 minute for the TDS to show up.

If you restart the system or encounter a power outage recently, please check if the TDS reading will show up after continuously running the water for more than 1 minute.

Can the machine be placed horizontally?

To avoid resonance of noise and to reach best filtration performance, we would suggest you to set the system vertically. However, since the water cycle board is integrally designed with the system, you could try to lie it down if you have limited space. As long as there is no leakage and terrible noise, it would be fine to use.

Why doesn't my machine ever remind me to replace the filter?

Please kindly note that the filter life indicator was calculated by pump working time, so if you didn't use the system much, the indicator will not change colors. We would suggest you to change the filter according to the suggested time.

Water filter

How often should the Frizzlife filter be replaced?

As for the service life of the filter cartridge, there is no exact time to tell customers when to change the filter, all the specification data of the flow capacity that is listed on the sticker is based on actual test from laboratory and it’s provided water. The feed water quality is very much different for different users, some use with municipal tap water and some with well water. The replacement frequency listed on each product description is for references use, which will be influenced by your water quality and the volume of water you use every day.

Here are some suggestions to judge if it’s time to change the filter:

  1. The taste:if you feel the taste of the water have a big difference, then it’s time to change.
  2. Water flow:the carbon has the highest precision of 0.5 micron, 10 times higher than most of the other brands with similar product, if your water is getting too bad, it means the carbon is blocked because your water has many small particles and VOCs.

You will need to know that the performance of a water filter is decreasing by daily usage and will finally get exhausted, so Frizzlife will suggest every user to change filter more often to get the best water.

We are honest water solution provider and will never advertise 3-5 years service life. Also, users shall never believe if other vendor claim such a long service life, it’s only possible if you really don’t use water that often.

How Frizzlife water filter affect TDS/PPM in water?

TDS is not a professional way to test the water quality, TDS means total dissolved solids. For example if you put a very little salt(NaCl) into the water and test the TDS, you will find the result is dramatically high. Same thing, if your water is full of minerals, the TDS is very high too.

The MP99, MK99, SP99 or SK99 doesn’t remove any of the minerals from water, it only stops heavy metals such as Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, and it removes the chlorine from water to a great extent, and the carbon is bacteria static.

TDS meter testing method is widely used in reverse osmosis system, since RO filter system also removes minerals from water. If a RO membrane doesn’t have a good performance, the TDS will be relatively high. And if TDS is getting much higher, means it’s time to change the RO membrane.

So please do not use TDS to test any water except Reverse Osmosis System, because the result is meaningless.

Why water filter can not be used on well water?

This filter should be used in conjunction with municipally treated drinking water or water that has been properly disinfected prior use.

The water filter cartridge is manufactured with 0.5micron carbon(top rate ) that will get easily clogged up by any type of dirt or settlement from a well.

Can Frizzlife water filter system link to the refrigerator/ice maker?

Of course you can.If you would like your refrigerator or ice maker to have clean and safe water from Frizzlife filter system, we also have icemaker kit avilable on our online store.
